History International Youth Tournament
2010
This edition was a special one: the 20th edition of the prestigious International Youth Tournament of DVS'33 Ermelo. This year we were lucky enough to welcome two English teams: Bromley Academy and Crystal Palace FC. Our old friends from Zulte Waregem and Slavia Prague were also amongst the teams. New this year was Club Brugge from Belgium. The Dutch professional teams were represented by FC Utrecht, Vitesse/AGOVV, FC Zwolle and FC Dordrecht. Unfortunately it was a bit cold during the games, but that couldn't stop the youngsters from giving all they've got to win the tournament. FHK Liepajas won the final (U15) after a penalty shoot out. Crystal Palace lost in the shoot out after a 0-0 draw after 30 minutes. The final (U17) was won by FC Utrecht, who beat their opponents Vitesse/AGOVV by 2-0.
2009
The 19th edition of the International Youth Tournament of DVS'33 Ermelo was a mixture of old and new faces. There were foreign clubs represented from Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic and Belgium. Well known clubs out of the Netherlands were for example: AFC Ajax, HFC Haarlem and FC Zwolle. FC Zwolle U15 tried to win the finale in their category, but the Polish formation UKP Zielona Gora U15 were to strong: 2-1. SV Zulte Waregem from Belgium managed to win the tournament in the categorie of teams U17. Slavia Prague BK couldn't resist their power and were to lose: 2-0.
